Statement from the Faculty Assembly on Appointment of new Provost at Catholic University

The Faculty Assembly of the Catholic University of America congratulates Dr. Aaron Dominguez on his appointment as Provost, effective July 1, 2019.

The Faculty Assembly looks forward to a collaborative relationship with the incoming Provost. We hope to work together on issues of concern to the faculty and the University at large, including improving the University’s research profile, strengthening the University’s financial standing, enhancing shared governance, growing enrollment, improving the student learning experience, and fostering optimal working conditions for faculty and staff.

As always, we are committed to maintaining open and transparent channels of communication. To that end, we are pleased to extend the incoming Provost an invitation to address a Faculty Assembly meeting after taking charge of the new post and to bring any issues of concern to the Faculty Assembly Executive Board in the future.
